Palazzo Barberini is a magnificent Baroque building that houses the National Gallery of Ancient Art. Commissioned by Pope Urban VIII, it was designed by the architect Carlo Maderno in 1625 and the work ended in 1633 by Bernini.
In 1949 it became the seat of the National Gallery of Ancient Art, whose collection was formed from the donations of some noble families. It contains more than 1,400 works by great artists, from the 13th to the 18th centuries, including Tiziano, Tintoretto, El Greco, Caravaggio, Raffaello.The Borghese Gallery, located just inside the gardens of Villa Borghese, is one of the most important art museums in the world. Exhibits the collection of Cardinal Scipione Borghese collected from 1576 to 1633.
Inside there are splendid paintings by Caravaggio and masterpieces of sculpture.

Trevi Fountain is the largest and most spectacular fountain in Rome, measuring 20 meters wide and 26 meters high. The name "Trevi" derives from "Tre Vie", as the fountain was the meeting point of three streets.
The first version of the fountain was made in the Renaissance, commissioned by Pope Nicholas V.
L & #8217; current external appearance of the Trevi Fountain dates back to 1762 when it was finished by the architect and scenographer Giuseppe Pannini.
Piazza di Spagna is one of the most famous squares in Rome and throughout Italy. The name derives from the presence of the Spanish Embassy in the square.
It is located in one of the most beautiful and luxurious areas of Rome: it is in fact surrounded by Via dei Condotti, Via Frattina and Via del Babuino.
The famous staircase (composed of 135 steps), built at the beginning of the 18th century to communicate the square with the Church of the Trinità dei Monti, is the most characteristic element of the square. It is always pleasant to sit on the steps of Piazza di Spagna, which over the years has become a meeting place for Romans and tourists.
The fountain of the Barcaccia by Bernini occupies the center of the square, has the shape of a boat and bears the emblems of the sun and bees of the Bernini family.
The Colosseum (Amphitheatrum Flavium) is the symbol of Rome for the whole world. The name derives from the large statue of Nero located at the entrance of the Domus Aurea: "The Colossus of Nero". Its construction began in 72 BC with Vespasian and ended in 80 with Tito. After its construction, the Colosseum became the largest Roman amphitheater. During the Roman Empire it allowed more than 50,000 people to see entertainment shows, exotic animal shows, prisoner killings, reproductions of battle scenes and gladiator fights.
From the sixth century the Colosseum suffered looting, earthquakes and even bombing during the Second World War and was used as a warehouse, church, cemetery.

The Palazzo del Quirinale was built in 1573 as the Pope's summer residence, after the Unification it became the royal palace. Since 1947 the Palazzo del Quirinale is the official residence of the President of the Republic.
The obelisk is famous near the statues of Castor and Pollux on their horses. Every day, from 15:00, in front of the Palazzo del Quirinale takes place the ceremony of changing of the guard accompanied by the energetic music of the band.
The Pincio is a hill located in the historic center of Rome to the north of the Quirinale; its name derives from the noble Pinci family which it belonged to in the 4th century.
It is home to numerous villas, including Villa Borghese, and is today the most important public garden in Rome, always a favorite destination for Romans and tourists kidnapped by the charm of the breathtaking view that can be enjoyed from its romantic terraces. The beautiful gardens were designed by Giuseppe Valadier from 1809 to 1814, who in those same years also built the present Piazza del Popolo, to which the gardens can be reached by a grand staircase.I learned about the brunch organized by the hotel through Facebook.
